Meet Rosie, a beautiful three-year-old girl who was recently surrendered to us. She has a very sweet, happy personality and gets along well with other dogs, including the resident dog in her foster home. She is a big girl weighing in at 80 lbs.
Her foster recently shared the following update:
Rosie is a sweetheart! At home, she loves to wrestle with her foster brother and snuggle with her foster people. When we’re out and about, she’s a social butterfly. She loves all people and all dogs - especially at the dog park. She truly believes everyone should be her friend. Rosie is very clever. She learns a lot from her foster brother (the good and the bad) like “bring it” and stealing dirty socks from the laundry 🤣. When we initially took her swimming, she was timid and did not swim. She slowly decided to be brave and little by little followed her foster brother further and further into the water. Now, she swims without hesitation. She’s only three, so she needs daily walks/activity. I’m pretty sure she never had peanut butter before she came to stay with us. Now, she loves a Kong filled with peanut butter and she sits nicely for treats. She’s fully potty and crate trained. She’s pretty good on leash, and has great recall off leash. We’re working on her manners greeting new people because she gets too excited and wants to jump on them. In typical foster fashion, it took her some time to adjust to her new environment. Once she did, and she relaxed, she really came out of her shell which included starting to use her nose. She has an incredible sense of smell! She has been a great house guest, and will be a good addition to a family

Are you the loving hero super SWEET, SCARED Luna needs? Seeking a TEMP FOSTER/FOSTER or ADOPTER with no other dogs. This GORGEOUS girl was in a home with a small dog but dogs her size are just too intimidating for her right now. Luna is crate and house trained and pretty good on the leash. She is extremely loving and affectionate with her humans although it takes her a few minutes to adjust to new people. She needs a quiet, patient loving home to help her conquer her fears. This AMAZING girl is going to be such a treasure to her new family with just a little patience!.

Odyssey Male DOB 2/5/15
[✨] ADOPTER NEEDED [✨] Meet Odyssey!! He is a very sweet boy who is looking for a cozy couch and a loyal friend to share his golden years with. He is house trained, doesn't need to be crated when alone, low maintenance and loves to snuggle. Odyssey is well behaved and knows many words including and not limited to - Lay down, shake, sit, drop it, treat, walk ect... He likes to hold his leash in his mouth when he is excited or nervous. Odyssey has been with his family since 7 weeks old and has been an incredibly healthy dog his whole life. He is quite tall and has always maintained a healthy weight around 92lbs now. No health issues apart from seasonal allergies. As he has aged, he has raspy breathing (early stage laryngeal paralysis), some lumps, and little hesitant getting up steps. Odyssey would prefer a quiet home. Odyssey went to doggy daycare every week day for about 5 years. He loves other dogs and people but is not a fan of cats. The family is moving to Europe in early May and Odyssey needs a new home ASAP.. [💕]

Basil 7 Years
ADOPTER NEEDED!! Basil Basil is a sweet, spunky yet snuggly 7yo girl. She is house trained,
does not need to be crated when alone and rides well in the car on her bed. She would love a home that will
take her on regular walks – Prior to being rescued she was dumped at a rural shelter, with injured back legs, by her owner.
She did have surgery summer 2025 and is fully recovered. Her foster mom sometimes walks several miles with her and Basil has zero issues. She is on a mobility supplement (cost of 18 cents/day) and it is recommended
to continue it to ensure she ages as gracefully as possible. Basil happily greets and does not bark when visitors come into her foster home and she has a dog and cat as foster siblings and gets along beautifully with them. (Although she would be great as a single dog too!) The cat took a bit of adjusting, but she learned and now they enjoy seeing who can snuggle closer to foster mom. We have learned she needs help with learning how to greet new dogs on leash specifically. We feel she probably didn’t encounter this in her previous life in a rural area and is now in a foster home in a busy neighborhood. She went from knowing no commands to knowing quite a few now! She is still learning and has even started training classes to help with socialization. Basil occasionally does an excited nibble and for that reason we feel she would be best with children old enough to understand this is her equivalent of a happy dance! While it does not hurt (it’s a chatter not a bite and if your hand is near she will nibble your fingers) it does catch you by surprise sometimes. Basil’s perfect forever home is one that offers regular moderate length walks and a calm environment with plenty of couch cuddles! … while also understanding she isn’t perfect yet but is learning how to be the best girl and will continue to improve with time.

Gus ~ 2 Yrs
ADOPTER NEEDED! Meet HANDSOME Gus! This AWESOME 2 year old boy’s human passed away and after a family member took him, he ended up outside on a chain [☹️] . Some Good Samaritans offered a better life for this SWEET boy and he was allowed to come to Lucky Labs to find his new forever family!
FOSTER UPDATE: Gus is doing great in foster care. He is a Velcro dog and wants to be with people all the time. Like most labs, he is super food motivated and responds well to treat based training. He loves walks and does well on a leash, and will spend the rest of his time laying close for cuddles. Gus knows the commands "sit", "place", and stay. He is house trained and crate trained. He also will step into his harness when excited for walks. He does well with his two foster sisters and shows no resource guarding issues at meal time, eating in the same room as our two ladies. He also has had a positive experience with a cat. His biggest challenge is separation anxiety and he dislikes being left alone. However, when left at home, he does well and hasn't had any destructive tendencies with furniture. He also has occasional sleep startle reflex that seems to have gotten better over time in foster care. We think with time and patience, Gus is an eager and adaptable young man that would become your best buddy. He would do best in a household that provides him regular exercise and consistent presence at home, whether human or another pet. We also think he would be best with an owner who has prior dog experience..

Charlie (7 Years)
ADOPTER NEEDED!! This handsome seven year old boy was dumped at the shelter after being found as a stray. Charlie clearly is looking for his family. He is a very sweet and loving boy who greets everyone with a tail wag.
The shelter placed Charlie in a foster home where he lived with several other dogs and did not need to be crated. He is house trained, he knows several commands. and is pretty good on a leash.
He weighs in at 60lbs, great size.
FOSTER UPDATE!! Charlie (FKA Ruffles) is an older perfect gentleman who enjoys long and peaceful naps. He loves to curl up in the bed with you, by your side or in a chair on anything soft. He is very observant and loves to watch out the window from the couch. He is hard of hearing and prefers to be where you are most of the time. He'll get the occasional playful side and likes to tap at your feet or hands. He knows paw and sit and will wait patiently to eat or be leashed. He loves to follow a good scent. He does not prefer dogs or people in his face(especially bugs) or pressing near his hips. Due to his hearing he can be startled easily. He is house trained, cannot be crated(he does not like it and will get out) nor does he need to be and doesn't bother trash. He loves his people and being around them. [Emoji]

Luca and Max DOB 3/7/2023
FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED: Meet 3 year old Luca, chocolate, and Max, black! These big handsome
boys, weighing in the low 90's, are very bonded and need a home together. Both are incredibly sweet and loving, while they can be a bit shy with new people and places, they become a loyal
best friend quickly. Max will need leash training. Luca and Max light up when they see
a ball so playing fetch with their new family is a must and a fenced yard is a must. Due to excitement
when meeting new people, they will jump up.
Regarding their training and temperament:
- House Training: He appears to be crate trained. While house training status is unconfirmed, they do not use the bathroom in their kennel.
- Leash Skills: Can be strong on the leash and knows a few commands.
- Compatibility: They are great with other dogs, though his behavior around cats is unknown.

Brooke 1 Year
ADOPTER NEEDED FOR BROOKE! Remember Brooke? She is the poor girl who was found as a stray with an embedded collar in her neck ?? [😢] SHE IS AMAZING! Brooke (fosters are calling her Bri) has settled in beautifully. The fosters say she is FUNNY AND SWEET [🥰] She LOVES her morning walks and playtime and must have this exercise. Once she has it, she is content to settle in for the day with her kong and chew toys. She roams from dog bed to dog bed often curling up in the smallest one or stretching out on her back for a belly rub! She ADORES playing with other dogs and would really enjoy a nice fenced yard to play in. She is fully house trained but is not a fan of the crate yet. She is a bit of a Velcro dog with her foster mom and stays close while foster mom is working. She is very good on the leash (only harnesses for this girl due to her previous neck injury) and enjoyed her trip to the brewery!
Brooke will be a wonderful addition to her new family and is appropriate for children 7 and over. She is 68lbs.

Benji is a 6-month-old chocolate lab mix with the sweetest personality and the calmest demeanor you could hope for in a puppy. He may be a little shy at first, but once he warms up, his gentle and affectionate nature really shines through.
He’s currently thriving in a foster home with two other dogs and absolutely loves having playmates. Whether he’s enjoying a little playtime or settling in for one of his favorite naps, Benji brings a peaceful, easygoing energy to the home.
Benji is already off to a great start with training. He sleeps well in his crate at night and is quickly learning the ropes during the day. He’s also doing an excellent job with potty training—when taken outside, he immediately knows what to do. Quincey needs a quiet household with few people coming and going. He's very protective of his person or people and wary of strangers. If a stranger enters the house, he will need to be crated. He would be a wonderful dog for an single woman. He LOVES women; He will warm up to men, but he adores woman.
Looking for an experienced, responsible owner. This boy would do best with a confident, responsible owner who understands protective dogs. He is naturally watchful and will alert you if someone comes onto or into your property. He is very loving and affectionate with his owners, bonding closely to his people. However, he is not a fan of guests and should be crated when visitors are present to keep everyone comfortable and safe.
He can be possessive over food and bones, so management is important. He does very well when fed or given high-value items in his kennel, which he is comfortable using.
No young children (due to food and treat possessiveness, not aggression toward kids).
Quincey is house trained, crate trained, okay with other dogs, and
will thrive in a structured home with clear boundaries, routine, and someone who respects his needs. In the right home, he is an incredibly loyal and loving companion.

Fynlee 4 Years
FOSTER or ADOPTER needed for our SUPER SWEET Fynlee! Fynlee is a BEAUTIFUL 4 yr old, 80 lb silver Lab. She was surrendered to the shelter along with another dog. She was in pretty poor shape- you can see the condition her eyes are in [🙁] - but despite that she is the FRIENDLIEST, most TRUSTING girl you could hope for.
We are working to figure out her skin issues and have an appointment with the doggie ophthalmolgist. FANTASTIC Fynlee needs a home to heal and feel safe and loved! She appears to be house trained. She went easily into the care and ride quietly. This girl is a true GEM and whoever gets the chance to bring her into their family will truly be the lucky one! .

Santa ~ 8 Mths
Santa is a wonderful 8-month-old puppy who was rescued from a local shelter before Christmas. Santa came to us with a broken right fibula, and after a consultation with an orthopedic surgeon, it was determined that the fracture was healing naturally and didn't recommend surgery.
For the past two months, Santa has been in a foster home focusing on his recovery. While he occasionally gets the "zoomies," he is generally doing his best to stay calm. Santa is an incredibly social dog who considers everyone he meets—human or canine—a best friend. He loves playing ball, tug-of-war and is a true "velcro dog" who enjoys snuggling on your lap. Santa is crate trained and has learned to ring a bell when he needs to go outside. He is highly treat-motivated, which has helped with his training; he already knows "sit" and "shake," and is currently working on his leash skills. He also travels well in a car and especially enjoys trips for a "pup cup."
As a young dog, Santa has a lot of energy and will require an owner who can provide several walks AND playtime. He would thrive in a home where he is not crated all day and would do well with another canine companion because he loves the resident dog. If you are looking for a fast learner with a big personality and a nightly routine of being tucked in for bed, Santa might be the perfect fit!

FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED! Meet SWEET, SWEET Penelope [🥰] . This 2 yr old girl was surrendered to a small rural shelter with multiple other dogs. She is such a PRECIOUS pup with so much to offer her new family- she is GREAT with both humans and other dogs, she knows a few commands and she LOVES playing fetch! This girl has some energy and would definitely love a fenced back yard. Penelope came into the rescue with a nasty ear infection that we are currently treating. She also needs to be spayed which can’t happen until we have her in a home. She hopped right in the crate, she is SMART and easily trained. We do not know if she is house trained or how she is with cats. She is 50 lbs and will need to gain a little weight.
