About Our Non-ProfitLucky Labs Rescue, based in Charlotte, NC, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer run, foster based rescue group that shares a passion for our four-legged friends.
Labrador Retrievers are one of the top 5 leading dog breeds in the country. Unfortunately, that means there is an overwhelming amount that end up in the shelter for a variety of reasons. Our volunteers work closely with and rescue dogs from high kill shelters locally and in surrounding areas of North and South Carolina. Oftentimes, this means we are rescuing dogs and much of their history is unknown.
When Lucky Labs Rescue brings a dog into their program, they are taken directly to the vet for an exam, vaccines, spay or neuter, heartworm test, and dewormed for intestinal parasites. Following veterinary care, the dogs are temperament tested and put into our foster program while they wait for their forever homes.
