Tex (~6 Yr Male)
ADOPTER NEEDED! MEET HANDSOME Tex is a 6 year00 very good boy. Tex came to us from a tough situation...He lived outdoors before being rescued and did not experience much in his previous life. This poor boy was super skinny, had almost no fur and had terrible infection in both ears and his skin... But with some TLC, good food and an indoor life, his skin has cleared up and he has gained weight. He's also been learning about all of the spoiled dog things in his foster home: soft beds, car rides, vet visits, walking in a neighborhood and meeting new friends! Tex is house trained, easy going and quiet: a low to medium active couch potato type lab who is not clingy but loves to be loved on. He walks on leash very well, but likes a slow pace so he can take in all the sights and sounds. He doesn’t have to mark everything, which is a plus! He has not needed a crate, but does enjoy laying in one. He does not know commands like sit or stay and prefers to come when he feels like it- or when you offer food - LOL! He has done very well with the dogs, cats and people he has met since being in his foster home, but can be a bit shy at first. His adopter should be patient and encouraging!. It doesn’t take him long to warm up to new things if you give him a few minutes and reassurance. Tex will be an amazing companion to his new family!

Peaches (Female)
ADOPTER NEEDED! Meet BEAUTIFUL, SWEET Peaches. This AMAZING 4 yr old girl was found wandering as a stray with another dog and ended up at the local shelter. She was terrified in the noisy, scary shelter so the shelter manager begged us to get her out ASAP! As soon as she reached the great outdoors, she started to loosen up, and then she got in the car and started to SMILE! As we headed to the foster home, she began to turn into the typical Lab! She nudged my arm to pet her and occasionally licked my face! When she did that- we both smiled from ear to ear [😁]
Peaches has adjusted very well to her foster home and is currently trying to get the 13 yr old resident Dachshund to play with her! Apparently, Peaches doesn’t realize that she is 100lbs! She has been perfect in her house training, and has not had to be crated when left. She is strong on the leash but does better on a harness. Peaches would do best in a home with another playful dog and a fenced yard. She LOVES to sun bathe! Due to her size, she is appropriate for children 12 and over. .

ADOPTER NEEDED! PRECIOUS 9 month old Bailey was dumped in a rural area with two other Labs and a really nice family took them all in to keep them safe. When they reached out about Bailey, we were so happy to be able to help her! Bailey is SWEET and doing SO well in her foster home. She ADORES her foster dog sister and plays and shares food with her, even eating it out of her foster sister's mouth! [😆] Bailey is super food motivated, learns quickly, is SMART and EAGER TO PLEASE. She is doing amazingly on house training and has adapted to the crate well. She is also excellent on the leash..

Mallory (Female, ~10 months)
UPDATE! ADOPTER NEEDED - BEAUTIFUL, 10 month old Mallory is THRIVING in her foster home! While she was a little timid when she first arrived, she has gained so much confidence. She LOVES playing with her foster fur brother and enjoys following him around. She still gives the senior fur sister lots of room and respects her desire NOT to play ; ). She really enjoys spending time outside in the sun. She is fully house trained and can be trusted when left out while her people are gone. (She actually hates being crated and wants to be with the other dogs). Mallory is a true SWEETHEART who is going to be an amazing addition to her new home.

ADOPTER NEEDED! MEET ADOREABLE STELLA! This 40lb, 1 year old girl is GREAT! She is a GREAT cuddler, GREAT on a leash, GREAT with kids of all ages, GREAT with all dogs and somehow manages to keep her 100lb foster brother in lin! . She doesn't jump but has discovered she likes to sleep on soft things so will jump on a couch or bed though at night she sleeps on her bed. She is a little timid walking through doors. In no time, she has learned that the car takes you to fun places and jumps right in now. She enjoys sitting outside and a good bone. She knows some basic commands and is still learning her name. She is going to be a great addition to any family!

ADOPTER NEEDED! Meet WONDERFUL 9 yr old Rocky - This SWEET boy was adopted from us as a puppy and has been completely LOVED AND CHERISHED for his entire life! Sadly for Rocky and his family, a serious medical issue has required the family to return Rocky to us. [🥺] Rocky is currently in a wonderful foster home where he is learning the ropes of a new home. He is completely house trained, does not need to be crated when left alone and is VERY FRIENDLY WITH PEOPLE AND OTHER DOGS! [🥰] He has been great with children also. Once he is familiar with the home, he is very settled and calm. But DO NOT COUNT THIS FELLA OUT! He has great energy and LOVES chasing squirrels and playing with other dogs in the backyard! He also enjoys a long walk. He is great on the leash until he spots a squirrel and then he will try to chase. Otherwise his leash manners are very good.
Rocky is healthy and will make a WONDERFUL addition to his new family! He needs a fenced yard and per our adoption policy is appropriate for children 7 and over. He will chase a cat so a home with cats is not recommended.

Ike and Tina (Siblings, DOB 7/1/16)
Ike and Tina have lived their entire lives together and now are looing for their forever home after their owner recently died. Ike and Tina are the SWEETEST most loving dogs and are bonded. We will not separate these babies; They must be adopted together. Both dogs are great with everyone, dogs and people, and have great manners. They do not jump when greeting you, know commands, are good on the leash, and were inside until a couple of years ago. Tina loves to play fetch. Ike has torn cruciates and has an appointment with a surgeon. We will cover the cost of the surgery.

Nala (Female, ~1.5 years)
ADOPTER NEEDED FOR NALA! Meet GORGEOUS Nala - this 1.5 yr old, 50lb girl is SUPER SMART, LOVES to play fetch, and is FRIENDLY and OUTGOING! Nala has a ton of ENERGY and is an excellent athlete! She would be a GREAT candidate for agility. Nala has adjusted very well in her foster home. She LOVES to play with the 2 resident dogs and daycare has been a great way to get her energy out! SWEET Nala will need a family who will give her the exercise and training she needs. Nala’s foster mom has taught her several basic commands and she walks well on a leash but will need continued work on jumping and impulse control. Nala is VERY treat and praise motivated and she loves to learn! She is house and crate trained, she sleeps through the night in her crate without a peep! During the day, she much prefers to be with her family or at daycare if her people work long hours out of the home, she does fine for a few hours at a time in her crate though. Nala’s perfect home is one with at least one other very playful dog that she can be friends with, playing is her favorite thing! Due to her energy and tendency to jump up, she is appropriate for families with children over 12. A fenced yard and another playful dog are also a must for this sweet girl. She has not been tested with cats but has loved every dog she has met so far!

Grits (Male, ~7 y/o)
Meet Grits, a HANDSOME, SWEET and FRIENDLY, 5-7 year-old black lab who is thriving in his foster home! Since coming to the foster, he's discovered the joy of playtime! He is very open to learning and "will work for food" [😜] Grits is house trained, crate trained, and knows a few commands. He is terrific with the other dogs AND the cat in his foster home! Grits is HW-, neutered, microchipped, and fully vetted. He came in underweight but has bounced back and is now a healthy 70+ pounds. Grits is a HAPPY, LOVING BOY who is ready for his forever home!
Grits came to us with leash anxiety but due to the GREAT work his foster is doing along with one of our trainers, he is learning to walk more calmly on a leash and not react in fear. It is a work in progress and will require continued training with his new family. Due to this, Grits MUST have a physical fenced yard. He is very happy playing in the backyard and does not need a daily walk!

King is a super sweet and playful boy. Sadly, King surrendered to a shelter in December and they staff fell in love with him. King knows commands sit, lay down, drop it, and here. His leash manners are a work in progress. King loves his toys too. He is house trained and good with other dogs. King looks like a Lab Golden Retriever mix.
